Finch Therapy on the Sunshine Coast

Finch Therapy on the Sunshine Coast with physiotherapist Scott Baines. Personalised assessment and corrective exercises tailored to your movement, comfort and everyday activities.

About Finch Therapy

Finch Therapy is a highly effective assessment and treatment for chronic non-specific musculoskeletal pain.

Your consultation begins with a standardised assessment to identify muscular imbalances in the body. We then design an easy corrective exercise program specifically tailored for each patient to restore and stabilise good alignment. No manipulation or mobilisation is required. Patients are actively involved in correcting and stabilising their own alignment using prescribed exercises, reducing the number of treatments, saving you time and money.

We have published an in-depth article that gives more information about Finch Therapy. Read Scott’s article: What is Finch Therapy? How Does It Work?

Review progress

Follow-up assessment checks your response and helps Scott adjust your exercises or discuss other treatment options.

What to expect at your appointment

Your first appointment gives Scott the opportunity to understand your symptoms, health history and the activities you would like to manage more comfortably. He assesses your movement and considers whether Finch Therapy is appropriate for your needs.

If it is suitable, Scott explains the assessment findings and guides you through your prescribed exercises. You will have the opportunity to practise them, ask questions and understand what to do between appointments.

At follow-up appointments, Scott reviews your response and adjusts the plan where needed. If your symptoms are not improving as expected, he considers whether another treatment approach or further assessment is appropriate.
